Tibetan: ལྷའི་བུའི་བདུད་
Tibetan (Wylie): lha’i bu’i bdud
Tibetan (phonetics): lha bu du
English term: The māra of the son of the gods
English Definition: In origin, the Mara that is the son of the gods seems to refer back to Mara as Kama, who was the son the god Krishna, and his trying to cause interference to Shiva. Buddhism takes this mara to be the deluded views of the non-Buddhists. Other sources consider it to be, in its subtle form, distractions, since they make one unable to overcome any of the other three māras. Other interpretations render him as an actual deva that creates obstacles for those practicing virtue.
Spanish: El mara del Hijo de los Dioses
